On our website you can find the terms "diamond" and "brilliant". So, what's the difference between these two words? If we summarize it with one sentence: a diamond is a mineral and a brilliant is a specific type of diamond cut.

The brilliant cut has at least 57 facets, 33 on the top (crown) and 24 on the bottom (pavilion).

Inside the diamond is a thin, unpolished strip. The light that passes through the brilliant is reflected by this shape in the best way for maximum intensity. This gives jewellery with diamonds that famous sparkle.
